Description

The project consists in widening of the I-95 highway from 6 to 10 lanes in Palm Beach County along a section measuring 3km. 500m of said section form a viaduct built using bored foundation piles, impost blocks and precast reinforced concrete girders.

The project also involves complete reconstruction of the highway’s six entrance and exit slipways and of the 50-metre steel viaduct on 6th Avenue. The peculiarity of this project is also due to the fact that it has been carried out with traffic permanently in circulation on at least 3 of the lanes with the possibility of temporary closure only at night, and in a highly built-up area with a high volume of traffic.

Other works performed concern improvement of the area’s drainage network, reorganisation of existing subservices, construction of noise-reduction barriers and installation of road lighting and road signs and green areas.
