Description
The contract refers to the design and construction of 140 kilometers of the M-11 Moscow-St Petersburg Motorway. Astaldi will perform the works as part of a joint venture and in the capacity of General Contractor on behalf of TWO CAPITALS HIGHWAY - comprising VTB Group and VINCI Concessions - which was awarded the concession for construction and operation of the motorway by AVTDOR, the state company in charge of building and developing the Russian Federation's toll motorway network.
The new route will be a 4-lane motorway with a maximum speed of 150 km/h.
The project also foresees the construction of 64 bridges and overpasses with a total length of 5.5 km. Works will involve excavations of 5,333,000 m3 of topsoil and torf, and 50,000 tons of steel for reinforcement and structural works.
