The Astaldi Group has won the contract, worth about EUR 56 million (Astaldi leader, with a 50% stake), to design and build Lot 1 of the Nădlac-Arad Motorway in Romania. The works involve the completion of slightly more than 22 kilometres of Motorway route, from Km 0+000 to Km 22+218, linking the city of Arad to the town of Nădlac, one of the most important crossings to Hungary. The works are to be completed in 12 months, with the start of activities in January 2014.
