ASTALDI S.P.A.: APPLICATION FOR EXTENDING THE DEADLINE OF THE PROPOSAL OF COMPOSITION WITH CREDITORS
Astaldi S.p.A. announces that it has submitted to the Court of Rome an application for extending of 60 (sixty) days the deadline, originally set for 16 December 2018, for the filing of the proposal of composition with creditors pursuant to art. 161, subsection 6, of R.D. 267/1942 (Italian Insolvency Law) and the Company’s plan.
With the aim of defining the best proposal for its creditors, the Company has requested an extension of the afore-mentioned deadline also for completing the due diligences underway and for better qualifying all the opportunities of the new scenarios relating to some potential industrial investors.
In this context, Salini Impregilo S.p.A. and IHI Corporation have separately expressed their interest in taking part in Astaldi’s composition with creditors process, by submitting non-binding offers.
This extension, requested to protect all the interests involved, if granted, would defer to 14 February 2019 the deadline for submitting the final proposal of composition with creditors and the plan by the Company.
