Description
The works mainly involved quadruplication and laying below ground level of the existing Turin-Milan railway line and have been performed in an urban context parallel to the current line.
Two cut-and-cover tunnels have been built side by side, one to be used for the existing line (slow line) and one for the new fast line.
The project presented a number of specific executive and organisational characteristics given the urban context the works are performed in and the immediate vicinity of the Turin-Milan railway line which is in operation.
